Cannot Register Fax Extension

    Hello All,

    The fax and ATA are in a remote office , 3CX v15 system is in data center . The phones are connecting to phone system by SIP through internet line..

    I cannot register the ATA as fax extension , the error says Reason: Block WAN requests is ON. But the yealink SIP phones can be registered from same network.

    Could anyone help on this?

    I didn't think that remote Fax Extensions were supported without using VPN.

    Hello @Steven.Zhang

    As leejor mentioned Fax extensions are only supported as local extensions. To register a FAX extension at a remote site you will need to establish a VPN connection between the remote site and the PBX. Normal extensions do support remote registration.
