Can't Answer Calls

    I'm not sure if this is the phone or the PBX, but I can't seem to get this to work:

    Phone 1: Dial extension 101 (other phone)
    Phone 2: Ring Ring
    Me: Pick up handset of Phone 2

    Nothing happens! The call won't connect. On the phone's screen it says "Answer or Reject". So I push "answer" -- nothing! I push the button next to the extension -- nothing!

    Me: I push reject and the call goes away

    ...5 seconds later...

    Phone 2: ring ring

    (What the? I thought I said reject!)

    Me: I push reject on Phone 2

    ...5 seconds later...

    Phone 2: ring ring

    (What the? I thought I said reject!)

    Me: I hang up Phone 1

    ...5 seconds later...

    Phone 2: ring ring

    (What the? I hung up already!)

    Clearly there is something awry. All extensions are "external" and the media check box is on.

    There's more...

    I have a softphone -- when I call Phone 1 or Phone 2 with the softphone, the same thing happens.

    When I use the softphone or Phone 1 or Phone 2 to call a land line, it works.

    My phones are Polycom 650's

    Can you setup two softphones and try softphone to softphone? Would eliminate or establish if hardware very quickly.
