Hi again....after days of testing and Firewall/NAT configuration, at the end I can receive calls from external PSTN lines.
But there is the big problem as in the subject....I can't make external calls!!! I think the PBX it's not using the outbound rules. I tried with 2 rules, one with numbers starting with 0 and another starting with 9. The log is the below:
01:48:01.156 StratInOut::eek:nCancel: Call from Ext.101 to 9????????? has been terminated
01:48:00.062 CallConf::eek:nIncoming: Incoming call from Ext.101 to sip:[email protected]
and x-lite softphone is beeping and telling: Call Failed: Temporarily Unavailable
and Grandstream phone is giving error 480....

HELP!!!!
I already lost all my hair!!!

Same error

Hi. i am getting the same error as this user. i have posted my history in another ticket, under my account.

My setup:
3CX Phone System v2.0.1361.0
Grandstream 2000 phones
Broadvoice SIP provider

Simple setup. All phoens register the 480 error and logs below:
Time Action Call ID Call source Call destination Message

Time Message
14:54:02.082 StratInOut::eek:nCancel: Call from Ext.711 to 15108680845 has been terminated
14:54:01.692 CallConf::eek:nIncoming: Incoming call from Ext.711 to sip:[email protected]

Have never been able to make an outbound call. Have read the manual cover to cover numerous times.

Making a external call using the same SIP port to receive the call at the same time will not work.

If you want to do that you need to specifiy multiple SIP ports.

Similar to an issue I had

I currently have a GXP-2000 (ex 100), a HT488 (ext 101), and my PSTN line (ext 102). I can make internal calls (100 <-> 101), and I can receive incoming calls ( cellphone -> 100 ), but I cannot make outgoing calls ( 100 -> cellphone).

When I dial "102", the PSTN extention, I get the 480 error code. Here is my log:

Code:
CallConf::onIncoming [CM103002] Call(46): Incoming call from 100 (Ext.100) to sip:[email protected]
StratInOut::initialize [CM004003] Call(46): Can't call external line DN
CallConf::onIncoming [CM003002] Call(46): Destination not available for call from sip:[email protected] to sip:[email protected]

PSTN line should not be an extension. It should be a line. Define PSTN gateway and line on it, than define outbound rule, and all will work.

Ok, I used the wrong word. 102 is the PSTN external line. I made an Outgoing Call rule that external calls dial "9" first. Well now instead of the 480 error, I get "403 FORBIDDEN Your request is not alloweded" (improper English included lol)

Maybe I have to set some kind of permissions somewhere? I am 99% positive the passwords for both the extension and the PSTN line match, but I am told by the log they do not.

Make sure you have the correct UID and Password in the FXO and FXS ports.

FXO is the phone line and FXS is the Phone set.

Double check that and then also go back to the 3cx console and re-key the passwords. Once I check all my UID and Pw It worked fine.
