    Been working on this for a couple of days and not really sure what the problem is. I'm also very new at this so I am struggling with parts.

    using the 3cx iphone applications
    can make extension to extension calls
    3cx iphone app says temporarily unavailable

    The log would seem to indicate that your VoIP provider is not registered. You can confirm this by looking at the trunk in the PBX.
    This could be because of incorrect settings in 3CX, or a setting (port forwarding?), in your router/firewall. Running the 3CX firewall checker will let you know if all required ports are forwarded properly.

    The log seems pretty clear that the trunk isn't registered. Using the Verbose setting in the logs might provide additional information.

    Take a look at the VoIP provider settings, specifically the registration settings. If the setting specifies that registration is not required, then the indication given by 3CX will always be green (shown as registered). You might try setting it to where registration is required and see, but this assumes that the provider supports it (a register trunk).

    Thanks everyone. Their support is terrible and they seem to not know what the actual settings need to be. Even their guide for configuring 3cx is missing steps.

    @leejor and @ Ineblett, thank you for your help. I changed the registration setting (now set as a registered trunk) and it is working fine. Had to figure out why all the inbound calls were being forwarded to a 207 area code and that took another 60 min with support (issue on their side).
