Can't receive incoming calls on engin

    Hi All

    I'm only new to 3cx but I have gotten 3cx setup with engin. I can make outbound calls fine, I can hear people on the outside but they can't hear me. And one more issue I can't seem to get incoming calls. Is there anything special I need to do to make this work?

    This probably has already been listed on the forums but I have scoured for hours and can't seem to find anything. Any suggestions will be helpful. Also does it matter that I have a dynamic ip? I have my domain name setup on dynamic and to update every minute.

    I'm assuming that engin is the provider in Australia? (had to go look that up)

    First, make sure that your router is set up correctly to forward all of the required ports to the internal IP of the PC running 3CX. Read the manual, it has all of the info. Having a dynamic IP is no problem, but make sure that STUN is setup and working. There is a firewall test that you can run from 3CX, it's in the menu options towards the bottom on the left.. You can also have a look at the 3CX server log to see if there is an indication of problems when it tries to register with your VoIP provider.

    Well, I'd say that given all of the warning, something in your router/firewall isn't set up correctly. What make/model router are you using? Some routers have been known to have a problem handling SIP.

    I have a netgear wgr614. Maybe I shoule put in my cisco wireless router which is a wrt54g2, should that work?

    To simplify configuration, You need to configure "Full Cone NAT" (one-to-one port forwarding) on your router for PBX host.
    It means that
    1. everything what is received by your router from outside on external port 5060 UDP/TCP should be forwarded to PBXhostIP port 5060 (independently of source of request).
    AND
    2. Everything what is sent from PBXhostIP port 5060 to outside of local network (independently on desctination!) should be sent from externalIP of your router using port 5060

    The same rules should be applied for range of external ports used for RTP streams (madia server external port range)
    and for 5090 TCP/UDP if you use tunnel for external connection.

    This configuration will allow PBX to provide correct information about its location for external entities and to configure external entities to send requests to destination (your router) which will deliver requests to PBX.

    If router executes ALG (Application Level Gateway) for SIP then try to disable this functionality on router. PBX can work without this "helper".
