How Can I hide my ext. number or change it when I call another ext
I'm not really sure why you would want to, on an internal call, practical joke on someone?. Since 3CX knows the number you are calling from you would probably have to route the call out on a trunk, go analogue, and then back in.
For some reason someone need to hide his internal phone number from others
Is it possible?
I don't think it is possible. Are they "testing the employees", to see how they answer the phone? Are they not planning on identifying themselves during the conversation? After one or two calls, word would get around the office that if XXXX shows up on your call display, that it's "John" in accounting calling.
People might end up doing what residential customers do when a blocked number calls, just not answer the phone if the caller is going to "play games".
Generally you can make 'anonymous' outgoing calls.
There is a trick (loopback trunk - 127.0.0.1) how you may call internal numbers via outgoing calls.
Implementing such a trunk may help you.
