I was wondering is there a way to develop a VAD project to change profile status of extension (available, away, out of office, etc.), very similar to functionality into voice-mail menu ?
Also, related question -- is it possible to log-in/out queues (dial code *62/*63) via VAD project, probably caller must enter extension number / pin for the purpose ?

    Regards,

Yes, you can use the call control API to do that:
    http://www.3cx.com/blog/docs/call-control-api/

There is no support for this API, you're on your own. But there is a very complete sample that you can download from the link above.

Probably a trick with a loop interface could do the job. I call a loop interface a SIP trunk registered to a SIP extension at 127.0.0.1 – making outgoing calls on such trunk is equivalent of dialing out from associated extension.

All this could be important for remote call center agents (version 11), which may need to log into the queues for receiving calls on their mobiles, assuming no Internet access is available.
