Ability to customize a status so that you can still choose to receive internal but not external calls.

We want to be able to make a call forwarding for external calls but be able to be reached internally

PS : sorry for my english, i'm french.

This would be a great feature.

We have the problem, that our phones are going to DND outside of business hours, but we want to do internal calls.
The way over the incoming rules is not possible, because an employee must have the choice to receive also external calls when he switch back to available.

As far as i know, this is already possible.
Just go to the forwarding rules for your extention, then edit the different states like "away" "DND", etc.
The handling of internal and external calls here is done seperately.

I am not really sure, if it is possible to do an unattended handover, but at least with attended handover it should work (because it would initiate an internal call first)

    It's not possible.
In the forwarding rules for DND I can't say "Accept" for internal calls, only forward to extension/viocemail/number etc.

I've had the same problem. Fortunately I needed this for only 2 extensions, so I directed their DDI to queue with one member. If they don't want external calls than they log out of queue.
But this will work in small scale. This would be useful feature.
Some clients do ask about this.

Did you try the "Available 2" Status? Its pretty much the same as available.
But i agree, it would be more handy if you could set it all on all states

Would not help. The problem is:
When You decide to make a forward rule for external calls then You MUST also create a forward rule for internal calls.
It is not possible to make a forward rule to your own extension. So there is no way to make your own phone ring when you have a forward rule.

    Try it.

I wonder if this is possible:
allow all incoming calls , but configure exceptions of the forwarding rules
allow calls form caller ID XXXX* (all numbers > 999 if your extensions are 3 characters, X means 1 character, * means 0 or more characters) )
Received during out of office hours | Specific hours
forward to : end call | Voicemail | Queue

3CX v14 as well as v15 both accept these rules, but i am not able to test it sadly

Okay, I did not explain correctly: You CAN place a forward rule to yourself. But it will not work. It will make 3CX Say: "Please contact Your administrator..."

Yes - ALL those options should allow "receive call" as an option. This causes us integration / user acceptance issues.

Yes, this is an important feature for many of our customers.
Allow Internal, Forward External or inbound calls from RGs
