chrome compatible voicemail encoding

    voicemails should play in chrome desktop browser, android, or ios without installing an extra app. you should be able to get the email from 3cx, click the attachment and listen.

    I have created a sample .wav file in audacity and emailed it to myself and i can confirm chrome and android can natively play the file... something is wrong with the wav format 3cx is using.

    encoding requirements here?

    i wanted to update this thread with a workaround.

    after speaking about this very issue to my voicemail transcription service, today they added a feature to workaround it!

    nexiwave has the ability to take voicemails from 3cx, transcribe them, and attach the original audio in a format that chrome and android can natively play.
