voicemails should play in chrome desktop browser, android, or ios without installing an extra app. you should be able to get the email from 3cx, click the attachment and listen.

I have created a sample .wav file in audacity and emailed it to myself and i can confirm chrome and android can natively play the file... something is wrong with the wav format 3cx is using.

    encoding requirements here?

i wanted to update this thread with a workaround.

after speaking about this very issue to my voicemail transcription service, today they added a feature to workaround it!

nexiwave has the ability to take voicemails from 3cx, transcribe them, and attach the original audio in a format that chrome and android can natively play.

    nexiwave.com FTW!!
