Cisco 7940 and Caller number to phone book mapping

    Cisco 7940 and Caller number to name mapping

    Hi

    I know its not really a 3CX issue, but hope that some users of the Cisco 7940 in use with 3CX can help.

    Problem is...

    Call comes in from VOIP line
    The number of the caller is displayed on my Cisco 7940 as xxxxxxxxx@sipgate.co.uk (xxxx=the number)

    I have entered into the phones directory the number with a name to display such as Dave Mobile; and I have even used the KEEP feature then edited the saved entry as Dave Mobile; but still each time I call the VOIP line it just displays xxxxxxxxx@sipgate.co.uk

    Any ideas why it wont show Dave Mobile ?

    ps. its not often I call myself, just easier than getting a friend to do it - :lol:

    There has to be some 7940 users out there - I'm sure of it :wink:
