    How are you tring to do this? via tftp? I had the CTU .cpm ringtone some time ago but I lost them. the way you have to do it is doing an tftp server and adding the ringtone names to the ringtone.dat file (the ringtone.dat and the ringtone should all be in the same place) restart your phone, point it to the tftp server and voila.
    Any question let me know

    I don't believe this is posible with 3CX (can someone confirm that please?) Cisco has some application that you have to download and it will basically setup the website where you would point the phone for the extra services and directores that you would want)

    Hi
    The Directories is possible, I have been experimenting for a couple of months now, I am now looking at the services but no luck yet.
    I downloaded Fastream IQ Web/FTP Server and setup, you will also need a copy of Edxor (for writing xml files ), then you edit the SIPDefault file in your TFTP server, pointing the Directory at the Web Server.
    The xml format you need for the directory are, this need to be written using Edxor,
    <CiscoIPPhoneDirectory>

    </DirectoryEntry>

    This gives you a 32 entry directory. When you press the Directories button, you should now have a 5th option "External Directory",
    press and there you go.

    Hi
    It works with SIP, I have over a dozen 7940G's working, if you enter the correct value for "Messages" in your SIPDefault you can go straight to voicemail by pressing the Message button, as I do not have caller ID at home I can cannot say weather it will recognize a number and display the directory entry.

    Same as the default 3CX value - usually 999

    Hi
    Assuming you have entered "121" in the Message slot in your SIPDefault.cnf file and also in the Voice Mail Menu Extion Number in 3CX, all you need do now is press the Envelope button on your phone and enter your pin when prompted, also red light should show on handset when messages have been left.
    Hope this helps.
