Cisco 7961 v15 Transfer Issue

    We've just updated to v15 and the transfer behaviour has changed...

    When a user carries out an attended transfer and presses the transfer key the second time to finish the transfer, the call stays on hold on their phone. They can't reconnect to the call, but it still shows as on hold. (The transferred call works fine.) After (unsuccessfully) attempting to reconnect the call, you can press the end call button stop the on hold message and timer.

    Anyone have any idea how we can change back to the 'old' method where pressing the transfer button for the second time disconnects you from the call?

    well this is called call monitoring. As the old Cisco devices dont know what to do with a Notify in terms of bringing it back they wait until the dest. picks up the call. On more modern terminals this is not an issue as you can opt out of this function by setting the release "notification" message generated based on the refere request. I checked quickly the prov. guide once more and I can not find such function on your devices.

    therefore it is status quo for those phones...

    Hi - thanks for the reply.

    Is this behaviour new in v15? (The transfer worked normally in v12 with the same template.)
