    Please can somebody tell me if our existing handsets would be compatible with a 3CX IP PBX?

    Currently we have:

    CISCO IP PHONE 7940 SERIES
    CISCO IP PHONE 7960 SERIES
    CISCO IP PHONE 7912 SERIES

    Thanks

    Cisco can have a SIP firmware load, or not. If it is SIP, then there is a good chance it will work. Some are easier to configure than others. Do a search of the forum using the specific model numbers (one at a time).

    @DaveShawAD

    You first have to get the SIP firmware for the phones. For the 7940 and 7960 this should be readily available. For the 7941 and 7961 you will need a Cisco support contract to get it. Once you've flashed the phones over to SIP firmware, you can follow these instructions:

    Also, you may want to try the v12 alpha and take a look at the phone templates.
