I can't seem to get our Cisco SPA (504G and 509G) to retrieve the phone book as defined in the provisioning template (see below). If I change the display name in the template, it's reflected on the phone when I try reprovisioning it. However, when I try to access the phonebook, I either get "Request Failed" or "Searching." The path to the xml file is correctly being written into my specific phone's XML file as:

http://172.16.10.83:5484/management/provisioning/cisco_phonebook.xml

A snippet of the phonebook XML file looks like this:
Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<CiscoIPPhoneDirectory>
 <DirectoryEntry>
    <Name>LName FName</Name>
    <Telephone>(555) 555-5555</Telephone>
  </DirectoryEntry>
  ...
</CiscoIPPhoneDirectory>

I would greatly appreciate any assistance you could provide.

Thanks,
Harry

open the below location

C:\ProgramData\3CX\Data\Http\Interface\provisioning

and let me know the size of your cisco_phonebook.xml file

if its more then 10k in size then this is your problem. its a limitation of the phone.

remove some phone book records and ensure the file is no more then 10k and then it will work.
