Ok my boss if offsite trying to register his iphone in our system. Ive already set up the extension and given him the info.

I gave him the local machines ip, the voip providers website name for external server name and his extension number. What am I missing that he cant connect?

How does he go through our firewall? I assume through our voip provider since there the external server.

    thanks

    Hello,

i have issues to understand the situation.
He is offsite, so he is not in the office and has no connection to the office via VPN.
Is the PBX server in the office LAN or you use only a voip provider where he likes to connect to?

If he is not in the office, toggle must be set to external server.
in there the pulic IP of the PBX or the provider must be set.
When the phone goes to be registered state you must be able to make a call.
if you have no audio then it is an issue with the firewall and the rtp ports frwd to the ip of the iphone..
