Hi

I am looking at installing a new 3CX system which is only a small setup 5 phones 2 simultaneous calls so was going to set up a hosted system but they need call recording so instead having to host it locally.

Has anyone got any PC specs that would host the 3CX Linux?

You need a basic PC in order to run 3CX Linux version....

As hardware reference

Intel Celeron N3050 / Intel Core i3 (Depending on your budget)
2GB DDR3 RAM
60GB SSD
Gigabit Ethernet
Linux Debian 64bit

And your 3CX will run like a rocket :)

Would this run it sufficently? with 4GB Ram and 60GB SSD.

Is the NIC good enough?

Some Mini PC NIC chipsets are known to be buggy with Linux and that's why we thoroughly test Mini PCs to determine which are the most stable and highest performing units to run 3CX on. I can't tell you if this is the case with the NUC you mention because we don't know the chipset the NIC is using and of course we haven't tested it.

Since you're in the market for a Mini PC, I'm suggesting you check out the Shuttle NC02U. It has been tested extensively with 3CX, we love it very much for its reliability and performance as well as the customization options on purchase. You can checkout an article on our blog regarding the Shuttle and you can pick one up for the same amount of money you'd spend on the NUC.
