    All,

While having an internal conversation, and choose to add an external number to have a conference call , I get the message from 3CX “ fail”.
The opposite does work, when in conversation with an external number, I can start a conference call by adding an internal number.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

can you call the external number normally ?

How many licenses do you have , did you reach your limit ?

Have you checked the activity log, to see what the issue was ?

Is extension 7000 a phone or the 3CX audio conference system ?

Have you checked your outbound rules, as a test create an outbound rule for ext 7000

    OP:
    YOU:

Lol... You asked the question he already answered... and said was fixed...
    Can't win them all.

This is strange behavior to be coming from ext 7000. When I use my phone to create a conference call, it comes from the extension. And when I am in the Conference System and hit the Conference Call button, it hangs up. Also, I have a rule that calls from 700 are blocked.

Glad to hear the issue has been resolved and thank you for sharing your solution.

This depends on the device you are using and how the that device handles conference calls. Yealink phones for example can handle a 3 way conference without involving the PBX. Snom phones use the PBX conference for a call as do the 3CX clients. It also depends how the call is initiated. If while on the first call you put the call on hold, open an second line and dial the number, wait for the answer and then you hit Conference then the Invite will be from the phone. If you are in a conference already in a 3CX client and add a member then the conference extension will dial the number.
