Connecting to mail server fails

    Hi,

    I installed 3CX 15.5.5 Standard Edition with PCX Express on an AWS server. Installation went through and while the installation I had no hassle getting 3CX connect to the mail server (UCS having Postfix running).

    After the installation was completed 3CX is unable to connect to the mail server. I am using port 465 for smtp auth with TLS and port 25 with STARTTLS.

    All clients using SMTP can connect easily with the same credentials given to 3CX (I tried Outlook and Thunderbird).

    Postfix log shows a connect from xxx.eu-central-1.compute.amazonaws.com and after approximately 15 secs an SSL_accept error from xxx.eu-central-1.compute.amazonaws.com (I used xxx as mask for the public IP in the AWS URL). The test in mail server settings shows only "The operation was canceled".

    I also restarted the AWS machine but it didn't get better.

    What can be the reason for this issue?

    Is port 25 blocked on AWS Server ?

    There is no SMTP service running on the AWS server with 3CX, if 3CX did not install any. 3CX tries to connect to the mail server, what I can see in the mail server log. But 3CX aborts the connect suddenly.
