Is there a way to stop / disable the function where incoming calls automatically add a new, global 3CX phonebook contacts.

We like the other popup functionality and the ability to add ConnectWise contacts, but do not want our 3CX contacts cluttered with that many entries.

Thanks!

Hi @Jeremy Bero,

That is part of the server side integration functionality, and can't be disabled. You have the option to use the client side, which doesn't do it, and you will get pop-ups on incoming calls, etc. But you need to configure this extension by extension...

Here you have the information if you want to go that way:
https://www.3cx.com/docs/connectwise-crm-pbx-integration/

Kind regards.

Great, thank you for the quick response! Is there any reason to keep the server integration part if we do not want the contact sync? In other words, what else does it offer / do ?

Sincerely,
Jeremy

With the server side integration you get the link to open the contact record in your CRM in the 3CX Web client. In case you're running a Mac or Linux, and can't install 3CXPhone for Windows, the web client is a good option. Also, the server side integration is only configured once, while the client side needs to be configured in each client PC.
