Solved Could not contact License Key Server. Cannot activate License

Having an issue activating a license. Version is v12.5.44178.1002
Basically the admin that was in charge of our system left the company and our maintenance expired. We contacted our provider and renewed it. They sent us a license that is the same exact license key. We are unable to activate the license and we are stuck in demo mode. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated so I can get our phone system back up and running.
The exact message that we get when trying to connect to the license server is:
Could not contact License Key Server. Please check your internet connection on the computer running 3CX Phone System. If you are using an HTTP proxy server, you need to configure proxy settings from Control Panel> Internet Options>Connections.

We do not use a proxy server and I can open up another internet tab and surf the internet so that is not the problem.

What is your DNS set to?

Try setting it to google temporarily and running the activation again.

Thank you for the information. We ended up finding a DNS issue that we reloved and upgraded to v 15.
Not sure how to close this thread.
