    I would like to be able to make new Status' and be able to customize their routing and also assign an individual color to be represent this status.

    E.G. Away status is yellow

    New status 'Updating ticket' would be represented as Blue

    When in 'Updating ticket' Status you can stay logged into queues' but not receive calls from them. Also still receive internal calls. Etc.

    We have a client with similar needs. ALSO the two custom statuses should offer ALL the options available for "available", including to deliver the call to the extn. Having one that refuses to allow calls to be delivered is well intentioned, but limits flexibility to meet customer requirements.
