Hi All,

Having major issues getting 3cx to install on Debian on a OVH dedicated server running xenserver 7. OVH uses failover IP addresses of which you have to configure your interfaces file to look like this:

Code:
source /etc/network/interfaces.d/*

# The loopback network interface
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback

# The primary network interface
auto eth0
iface eth0 inet static
address 0.0.0.0
netmask 255.255.255.255
post-up route add 0.0.0.0 dev eth0
post-up route add default gw 0.0.0.0 dev eth0

I installed the custom debian image that you have created on your site, but it never auto installed the pbx software, after installing the ISO it just took me straight to the bash shell of which I had to edit the interfaces file above to get wan working.
I tried to install from the sources by issuing this command: apt-get install 3cxpbx but I get this error: (I did add the 3cx sources beforehand)

Code:
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
3cxpbx : Depends: postgresql (>= 9.4) but it is not installable
Depends: rsync but it is not installable
Depends: libunwind8 but it is not installable
Depends: libtinyxml2.6.2 but it is not installable
Depends: libcurl3 but it is not going to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

I have also tried to install from a Direct full Debian image over 3gb but still no luck.
Hope someone can help.

Dear djshades2004,

Do you have ssh access through public IP?

Debian for 3CX does not ask for Network interface or IP during the OS installation, the interface takes automatically through DHCP. In your case you need to check if the network interface is working properly as well as the DNS (it is better to use google 8.8.8.8) and then try again to install the 3CXPhone System.
