    Hi,

We've implemented a 3CX system in our office and would like to know if it's possible to have our telesales guy dial out directly from a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet?

We can't use a database solution as the guy is blind and users an application to read out the contents of each cell, it's a solution he's very familiar and comfortable with.
We thought it would be far more convenient for him to simply tab to the column containing the prospects telephone number and press a key to dial out using the contents of the cell.

If someone could let me know if this is currently possible, I'd be most grateful.

    Best Regards

Look thru Myphone. If I recall there is a hotkey function for dialing. I think it takes the number and pops it into the dialer. Then you hit dial.
The second option would be a macro to dial the phone or 3cx.
What type of handset does the user have?

Thanks for the reply... at present we have a Yealink T28 setup for him, but we can use any that we know will work.

After doing a little more research I think a marco maybe a better option. I need to make this simple for his to use. As I previously mentioned he cannot see, relying on an application to read out the contents of the cell.

If you have any ideas or can point me to a marco that we could use I'd be grateful.

    Check this out
    http://www.3cx.com/blog/docs/call-setup-snom/

It deals wi yealink dial string.
There are some issues with Internet browser security, but this can be overcome likely using vbscript within office.

I have done a custom tapi dialer for use with excel in another company. basically excel numbers are converted to callnum links via excel command and then the user just clicks on them.

What i would suggest would be to make some sort of link/macro for each number, and make the link either call some program with tapi, or just use http api (http://www.3cx.com/blog/docs/3cx-http-api/), and make the link:
    http://<pbx>:5000/ivr/PbxAPI.aspx?func=make_call&from=<ext>&to=<dest>&pin=<ext_pin>

Most of that can be manualy entered in the function, and to field can be taken from the field with the number he's supposed to call.
