We are looking for our employees to enable/disable their 3CX app from ringing with out modifying their IP phone status. What is the best way to achieve this?

Hi Marley
If only ringing is to be solved, then all you have to do is to go to client's Settings/Audio Options/Ringtone and there scroll to bottom and select None.
Some customers wanted a way to be able to see incoming calls but without ringtone interfering with Spotify/Music/Radio etc, so this is the setting's main purpose.
