Digital receptionist

    Does the digital receptionist actually work in the "free" version ? becuase if it does I can't get it to play any files at all

    or do you have to "buy" a licence for V11 of the software

    According to the brouchure says it is supposed to work but I'm starting to wonder.

    Does anybody have an answer to this

    Yes, it works from my experience in helping others ( I use the paid version).

    Not knowing anything about how you have tried to set the feature up, makes it problematic to suggest where to look.

    Do you have inbound routes set and do they point to the DR?
    Have you created the DR with your desired recording and the associated dial codes?
    Are the office hours coordinated with the use of the DR?
    Have you tried dialing the DR extension directly from an internal extension, and if so, what did you get?
    What do the logs show related to an external call coming in and being directed to the DR?
    have you passed the firewall checker?
