Do internal Calls count against licenced number Simul calls?

    I was reading the 3CX book "The 3CX IP PBX Tutorial" last night and came across this:

    Unfortunately that link no longer works, but is what has been said still true - the licences required are based on external only calls, so for example with 4 licences there could be say 7 internal calls going on between extensions without violating licence?

    No - internal calls DO COUNT against the license.
    I currently have a 4 license demo unit in place during setup and can easily max out...

    Licenses are needed for the following:

    External to internal - 1 license
    Internal to external - 1 license
    Internal to internal - 1 license
    External to voicemail - 1 license
    Internal to voicemail - 1 license
    Conference calls - 1 license per person in call

    Thanks, I thought the same as both of you have posted.

    It's a shame when a book supposedly about the product makes such incorrect statements :(

    The statement you posted comes from the book?
    It says they DO count...
