I have this Draytek ADSL router connecting my Small Business Server to the outside world. The router has a bunch of VOIP stuff on it, but do I actually need to configure it if I am using the 3CX server to route my VOIP calls?

Setup is
------------------IP Telephone:---|
------------------------------------ Switch--------SBS (hosting 3CX)------Router:------InterWeb
------------------PC1:------------| |
------------------PC2:--------------|

Regards,
Nigel Ainscoe

HI Nigel

I have the same router at one of my clients. You don't need to do anything with the voip ports on the router to have 3cx work. you may want to play with some of the bandwidth management settings in the router though.

I am in the process of working with the voip provider to work out the best config.

Regards
Nathan

Thanks for that.

I have a 2800VG and I had to set the SIP port in the router to something other than 5060 (I used 50600) other wise the router was taking all incoming calls.
