DTMF

    Hi,

    We have deployed a simple call flow to our server. Calls are placed to it ok but there is no response to either of the options as if it is not hearing the DTMF tone.

    Has anyone else come accross this?

    We are getting this error in the IVR logs:

    Hi Emmet,

    In regards to DTMF tones, that's something that can happen if your phone sends in-band DTMF using a codec with compression. In that case, DTMF digits may not be detected by 3CX. Can you verify if this is your situation?

    In regards to the error reported in the IVR logs, that seems to be a javascript error (missing semicolon). Are you using an External Code Execution component? Can you describe the callflow you're designing?

    Hi,

    Ok, we checked DTMF tones were working normally by setting up a simple DR, on a press of key 1, the call was transferred to an extension on our PBX, this worked fine.

    The call flow is quite simple. On a press of key 1 or 2 an email is sent to a specified user with the callerid in the body. Thats all it does so far.

    Can you describe how you're configuring the e-mail sender component? Have in mind that properties of this component are expressions, so for example, to enter a constant text as the destination e-mail address you need to quote it as 'destination@example.com'. This is explained in the users manual.

    Still the same I'm afraid:

    now though we are getting Error ID 302

    Ok, thaks for the help we have it working now but oddly, whenever an option is pressed the main prompt repeats itself?

    The main prompt of a menu can be repeated when you enter an invalid option, or the timeout expires.
    Is this what is happening?

    Hi Emmet,

    Can you provide us with more information about the problem you had with DMTF digits not being detected? Did you have to do anything to fix it? Was the problem related to the codecs being used?

    Hi,

    What seemed to happen was, the main prompt was played, the user presses option 1 and then the option is played again.

    To make sure I'm understanding things correctly, I'm building the example CreditCard application.
