Dynamic Text to Speech?

    Hello,
    Before I purchase a VAD licence, can anyone tell me whether VAD is able to perform TTS output based on dynamically generated text (e.g. from a database query).
    I can't seem to find a definitive answer from the manual or the forum.

    Yes, you definitely can do it. The Text property is an expression, so you can put there the result of a database query, a web service or whatever you need. The expression is evaluated in run time and the resulting text is converted to speech.

    If you need additional information just let me know. We're working on a blog article about how to use TTS, which will explain in detail how to use this new feature, which will be ready very soon.
