email notification not working

    Looking for a little help with email notification. I currently have 3 sites, 2 with commercial / licensed 3cx systems, 1 (mine) with the NFR key.

    I have setup mail server as follows: settings, general, mailserver:
    mail server: smtp.xxxx.com
    reply address: noreply@xxxx.com
    user name for smtp server: noreply@xxxx.com
    password for accessing smtp server: (valid password)
    SSL/TLS is not enabled

    under extensions I input a valid email address and selected "send email notification only"

    I checked the server activity and no indication system tried to send notification. I also checked the windows event viewer, again no indication of email being sent.

    help? What am I doing incorrectly? Is there a option / setting I am missing?

    any help is appreciated.

    user name for smtp server: must be a valid username. Not noreply@xxxx.com

    The "xxxx" were just to indicate the FQDN.

    I finally figured it out. I had to go into custom parameters and add the SSL port. I suppose I could have accomplished the same by appending the server name in mail server settings.?
