    Hi,

    I am new to the VAD and am finding it very difficult to get the basics. Are there any example projects available, BESIDES the manual and the 2 sample apps that come with the install?

    I would like some real code that I can download that accepts user input, checks against a database and web service. Watching videos takes way too long and need to play with some real code.

    The 3CX blog contains lots of articles about the VAD. Not just videos, there are written articles that explain how to do different things with the VAD. For example, just a few of them:

    Hi!

    I am also a new to the VAD and have some programming background, but it is difficult to undertand some very basiс points. For example, I have to get Caller ID and Extension Number and send them to custom Callback components. I was tried many ways but without success.

    How do I work with variables on different levels of Callflow?

    Hi Igor,

    The Caller ID can be taken from the variable "session.ani" while the callflow extension is located into "session.dnis". Everywhere you can enter an expression, using the expression editor you can select from all the available variables. You can use these variables to configure some component behavior (setting its properties), etc.

    If you have a specific problem, please post a screenshot of your project or upload it so we take a look. Be careful to remove any password when you do this.
