    Hi,

Running 3CX and Exchange 2007 UM on the same server does not work for me.
I have read the FAQ on your page and that guides me to change SIP listening ports in Exchange.
I found on MS site how to do that in Exchange 2007 SP1, (Ports can be changed in the UMRecyclerConfig.xml)
I changed the ports in the XML file from 5060 to 5070 and 5061 to 5071. Restarted the server, but still 3CX refuses to install with the info "The specific port is in use: 5060 (TCP)"

Anyone worked with the same setup/issue?

    Hi, Ase

There is a quite technical procedure, but it might be useful to find out which program is using that port. Therefore, BEFORE trying to install 3CX:
    - in the command prompt, run "netstat -ano" (without quotes)
    - scroll the results to the top and try to search visually for a 5060, you should find something like this:
    Code:
    TCP 0.0.0.0:5060 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING 304
    - the last value (in this example, 304) represents the ID of the process curently using port 5060.
    - open a Task manager, and sort processes by their process ID (the PID column)
    - check in that column to find which process has that ID, consequently keeping the 5060 in use.

If is an application you know, then configure it to use another port, then after you stop/restart it, check again the netstat - you should no see the 5060. After that, try again to install 3CX.

    Hi Vali,

    Thanks for your reply.
I checked what program uses port 5060 as you described, it is "Exchange Unified Messaging".
Is there other things to do than change the values in "UMRecyclerConfig.xml" in the BIN catalog?

    Hi Vali,

Now it works for me, there was an error in the xml file (my mistake).

override the followring lines to this:

<!-- Port on which to listen for TCP traffic (optional) -->
    <TcpListeningPort>5070</TcpListeningPort>
<!-- Port on which to listen for TLS traffic (optional) -->
    <TlsListeningPort>5071</TlsListeningPort>
