Fax to email issue

    Has anybody sent a fax to email in different (external) domain?

    I have a customer with using own MS exchange server running on a different machine in the same LAN and we have defined 3cx@example.com as 3CX system mail account.

    This is OK, the customer receives voicemails and individual faxes as e-mails successfully for all users having email account in the same domain (example.com). The system 3CX fax server extension (888) is also working fine (email belongs to the same domain -- fax@example.com).

    The problem is having an user with email address in other domains, e.g. gmail.com, etc. (tried with different ones), he can receive there only voicemails, but not faxes. Could this be a bug, error in configuration or intended limitation in 3CX system? Sending party gets an OK status for transmitted fax.
