    Hi,

I have installed a 3CX fax server as it was written in manual, but it doest work.

When trying to send fax, I can make fax message (from Fax console) and send it, remote fax server starts to negotiate a call, but after 3 seconds call is dropped and Fax console says "Fatal error" in Extended status field. When I try to send fax to my mobile phone (for testing) there is no characteristic "peep" sound on the other side when I pickup the call.

Also, when I try to receive fax message, Server Activity log says:

    Code:
12:03:29.266 [CM500002]: Unidentified incoming call. Review INVITE and adjust source identification:

    What could be the problem?

    Re: Problems with faxing

What kind of gateway are you using? I'm having troubles with a Patton 4114 not sending faxes and I have an open support ticket on it.

However, as best as I can tell from your excerpt, you are trying to send faxes using your sip trunk. The last time I looked, 3CX's documentation stated that sip trunk faxing is not a supported configuration. That said, if someone could make it work with my provider, I'd be more than happy to listen. ;)

Fax is only tested and supported on Patton, Grandstream and Audiocodes gateways.

However please note that RC1 of 7.1 has a problem with fax which we are currently fixing. So if you are using 7.1 RC1 - you are welcome to try RC2 - it may fix it.

Fax sending worked after upgrade to RC2, but still cannot receive fax.
When trying to receive fax, 3CX displays same message as before. Is it possible that I didn't configured 3CX properly?

888 is FAX server extension number, authentication ID and password. I have configured inbound rule for extension 626 to send fax to email of extension which is 888 by default. Did I miss something?

    Regards,
    Boris
