    Hi, Roberto

"3cx phone is 7.x" - do you mean is a 3CX Voip Client, the one with presence list? In this case is almost impossible to help you, both PBX 6 and Voip Client are no longer supported by us, they are obsolete.
However, several days ago we had an issue very similar to this one you describe, and we found a bug in the 3CX Voip Phone, which might be very possible to be also in the Voip Client you have. If you have Xlite installed, try to use it with exactly the same parameters as you set in the Voip Client, to see if works - if yes, it means it's the same issue we found (a problem of name resolution).

    Regards

    Just as something to check...
In the PBX, is that Extension Disabled? Because that's one of the causes of this message.

    Just something to Eliminate

    Hi, Roberto

I've searched on the forum for similar issue, and it seems it was quite frequent on PBX ver 6. Please check this, maybe is useful:

    Hi ,

well , i work around this , and i found that this problem is related to the address
set in 3cx -> General Settings -> Direct call Setting.
I set the public ip address of 3cx instead of FQDN and now i can place calls but i have one way audio from external to internal.

I'm planning to upgrade to 7.x but i'm not really sure this will solve the problem.

    Any suggestion is appreciated.

    Hi again, Roberto

3CX Voip Phone is not audio-compatible with PBX ver 6 only when you use a tunneled connection - Voip Phone's tunnel, as 3CX Proxy manager's one, have a different audio protocols than PBX ver 6's tunnel has, so definitely you won't have audio.

Ok, back to the issue - one-way audio issue is most commonly related to the STUN usage. If you use 3CX Voip Phone on intranet, specify the PBX into "I am in the office" field (this avoid STUN involvement, therefore a proper audio port resolving). If the PBX is on internet, specify it into "I am out of the office" field (this invoke STUN to resolve port mapping, therefore a proper audio). Otherwise, you will have audio one-way.
Another thing you may try is to check/uncheck "PBX delivers audio" on extension page on PBX Management Console (but I don't think this has relevance in case of 3CX Voip Phone).

    Hope it helps
    Regards
    vali

P.S About migrating from PBX 6 to 7 I suggest you to don't hurry, since quite soon we will release PBX ver 8.

    Hi Vali ,

thanks for information about 3cx client behavior. They helps me to clear many doubts.
I test the latest client with a free 7 version in test environment , and i found that tunnel is work
    really better than 6 version.

I still get problems using hardware phone (grandstream 2000) over the internet, connecting form home
to ip public address of 3cx.
I get registered, i place calls but i have no audio at all.

Thanks also for indications About v 8 release ....
Can i ask which is the approx relase date ? will be in days, weeks or months ???

    Roberto
