Forward To External Number Timeout

    Hi

    Is there a timeout on calls that are forwarded to external numbers and if so, how do I amend that timeout?

    I have setup an extension that forwards a call to an external number if not answered however, after around 30 seconds of ringing that number without answer, the call ends. If I dial the external number directly, the call doesn't drop so I'm guessing it's something within 3CX that is causing that.

    There is likely something occurring in the forward itself. On the surface is sounds like the messaging may be incorrect and the INVITE is not being answered or seen by 3CX so 3CX times out. A capture would show more of what is happening.

    The 3CX Activity Log will show which end is dropping the call, or of it is another issue ( no ACK?). If it turns out that it is the provider, on the outgoing leg, you might want to see if, after looking at a dropped call from their end, if they have any suggestions on how to resolve.
