    Hello,

My client has been hosting 3CX v15 on their own computer hardware on-site (computer turned PBX) via the Free license for 8 simultaneous calls and 1 trunk. There is a license expiration warning that the license will expire on the 31st December this year and the PBX will fail to stop working. Is this expiration still on course to happen and does my client need to purchase a license for further use?

If they don't purchase a license in time, what will happen to the PBX?

In the License page on the 3CX console, there is no date shown in the Expiry row.

    Hi njp,

Sounds like you need to purchase new maintenance on this key. PBX edition keys hold a maintenance period too: https://www.3cx.com/ordering/pricing/3cx-maintenance/

If you are an end-user speak to a 3CX re-seller, if you are a re-seller and thus a 3CX partner speak to a 3CX distributor or acquire via your 3CX online portal.

If your key expires and you are using a 3CX Supported FQDN and SSL certificate they will stop working - this would obviously have considerable affects on the functionality of the PBX.

If this PBX is crucial to your customer look at getting this upgraded.

    Hello @njp

As eddv123 said, in order for your client to continue to operate normally you will need to renew the maintenance of the key. There is no need to purchase a new licence key.
If the maintenance on the key expires the key will be de-activated and the association with the FQDN will expire as well and the DNS management with it. Also SSL certificates will no longer be renewed and the 3CX smtp server will no longer be able to send emails.
