I think that from supported providers list potential customer should see that not all sip trunks are created equal. For example, on provider type there should be some kind of tooltip which will explain it like Ofcom.

• A provider that provides a VoIP service and a broadband service over their own network.
• A provider that provides a VoIP service only; the consumer has a broadband service from another provider.

Guides are slowly being created for all supported providers and these facts are written in the guide/documentation. That aside, 3CX of course recommends which Providers have passed the interop, but each user owes themselves to also do some research about which the right provider is for them...
