I was wondering if anyone has managed to setup Lenny? https://toao.net/595-lenny

It's a set of recordings and a script for Asterisk that fools callers into believing they are talking to an elderly guy.

You would simply do call forwarding to the number or URL, however.... to do it automatically you would forward based on caller ID of the telemarketer, and that is probably not going to be the same for each call. You would have to end up doing a manual forward. It's easier to have all callers go through the digital receptionist, automated telemarketers won't push buttons to reach you.
It's an interesting idea, and wastes the telemarketers time, but doesn't guarantee that someone else isn't going to call you the next day.

Agreed if it's a known number you could just setup CID at the trunk level and forward to Lenny's external number. A better approach is using the digital receptionist that you have to press a key to route the call otherwise the call drops after xx seconds..
