    Hi there,

I am having trouble getting this box to work. I have read the Patton FAQ on this site, but still cannot seem to get it to work.

We are trying to route our calls in and out of ISDN (BRI in the UK) via the SmartNode 4634. We also want DDI and Caller ID passed on if possible.

3CX will not register the VOIP gateway. Here is a copy of my config: -

And here is a link to the manual: -

All the is completely new to me, so I am sure it is probably something very simple indeed.

I have also logged a call with Patton, and will post any responses here for the benefit of the community.

    Any help greatly appreciated!

    Hi David,

Just to doublecheck: Have you followed the instructions in the FAQ to the letter? Via the command line?

    http://www.3cx.com/support/patton-smartnode.html

Because this way it should work.

If you post the server status log it will help to see what the problem is during registration.

Well, I've definately tried the FAQ a few times, but 3cx will still not use this route. The PSTN line is registered OK, and the SmartNode also reports that it is registered, so this seems OK. However, when we try to route a call through to the VOIP gateway, it times out. Here is a server log when we try to make a call: -

09:13:55.578 CallConf::Rejected Call (C:2E) is rejected: Destination is not answering
09:13:55.578 StratInOut::eek:nCancel Call from Ext.115 to 100 has been terminated; reason: Request Timeout
    09:13:23.359 CallConf::eek:nIncoming Incoming call from Ext.115 to sip:9100@192.168.1.4

We have an outgoing rule which routes calls beginning with 9 to the PSTN line and a transform mask of r.

The colour of the PSTN line does not change from green, so it looks like it's not even trying to go via this route.

    Any ideas?

    David

    Hi,

Well post a sample configuration for the patton gateway early next week.

However i noticed you named the internal line for the pattong gateway to 100? By default thats 10000. 100 is not possible - I suggest sticking to the defaults.
