There needs to be a feature request that allows you to set the Holiday Greeting, but once the Holiday greeting has been played, it kicks over to a voicemail or digital receptionist. The current operation of having the Holiday greeting play and then the call is ended is not sufficient. Please check into this.

I never released it did this, but if it is I hope thats not the case! When its a holiday, it should be as if its out of office hours and what ever you have set for that will occur, did you check this?

Holiday call routing is done via the "HOL" Digital Receptionist. Set the timeout to 0 and set a destination to where you want calls on holidays routed.

You are suggesting just creating another Digital Receptionist just for each Holiday? If you did that, you'd have to go in manually after each holiday and re-route the calls back to the "regular" digital receptionist. Correct?

Holiday routing for most systems is to follow the same rules as when the office is closed. If you designate a holiday using Settings/General/Configure Holidays and the incoming trunk call is set to observe holidays, then calls received on designated holidays are (optionally) played the audio greeting assigned to the holiday, then routed to the HOL Digital Receptionist. If you do not need a special menu for the holiday, you can have the HOL DR transfer directly to another DR/extension/etc. (whatever you may normally use for after hours calls).

There is not separate routing for each holiday, only one routing rule which applies to any day designated as a holiday. Once the holiday date passes, routing automatically returns to the normal office hours schedule rules.
