Implemented Hot Desking not supported on v15

We have a couple of customers who are eager to get back the Hot Desking feature. Right now it is impossible for them to update to the latest version.

Thank you for bringing this feature back to 3CX!

Please bring hotdesking back to v15.

We have a number of customers stuck on v14 because this essential feature has been removed from v15
 
We are a very loyal 3CX customer and are desperately missing the hot desking feature. Our staff sit at different desktop computers every day and rely on the ability to login to the phone handsets with their own ext. / password as we track their call times. Please bring hotdesking back so we aren't stuck on v14 forever!
 
Yes, its planned. We have not gotten round to it yet, its not trivial and our development queue is backed up, but its going to be started soon...
 
For us and our customers hotdeksing is a trivial feature. And it is a very common feature in a PBX.
We now are stuck in or have to get back to version 14.
Please bring hotdesking back as soon as possible.

We actually modified our provisioning templates on our Yealink T23Gs to add a hotdesk button, it works ok, biggest challenge is you lose provisioning ability from console if the users are frequently changed, would be nice to see 3cx track the device so it can be provisioned regardless of user using it. The base ability to hot desk though can be used today in v15 with the one limitation noted, we use it daily. Would be nice to see a proper hot desking ability added to product though, especially in larger enterprises like ours which is a required feature and is really a baseline in most commercial PBX solutions already.

Please bring Hotdesking to V15, especially with support ending for v14 this is vital to those of us who use this feature (or have clients that use it)
 
This is needed urgently. We can't change to V15 until this becomes available. Please could we have an update on when it it coming? Thank you.

When is the hotdesking coming back? can't upgrade until this is in. All the other enterprise solutions offer this, especially useful for call centres with desk sharing and multiple shifts

Well most Call Centres would have softphones with a headset. Much more ergonomic plus allows agent to be more productive. So i believe you should push your enterprise customers to such a solution independent of the hotdesking feature being available or not.

That said we are working on it, it will be back its just going to take a little more time.

Nick, excellent to hear that you are still working on this. I agree that softphones are the ideal solution but not all businesses can operate that way so hotdesking with the handsets is a great much requested benefit.

Looking forward to seeing it return soon.

Hi Nick and Co.

We take on-board your comments about the use of Soft phones and PC compatible headsets however we have a number of call centre leads who have an existing suite of SIP phones and RJ9 headsets which they are not willing to upgrade. These phones are drop in compatible with a number of competing PBX solutions and we are keen not to lose these sales.

HotDesking would not only be helpful for us but it is absolutely ESSENTIAL.
The availability of this feature was a K.O. criterium, when we decided to migrate to 3CX a couple of years ago.
Now it keeps us stuck to an old version of 3CX. Without this feature we will need to reevaluate the market for PBX/ACD solutions.

Exactly my situation.
Hope 3cx would seriously look at this feature to include in current release.
