I am a student doing a project. I have installed the 3cx server on one computer and switchvox on another computer. Now, i have been trying to set up a trunk for the 3cx server so that the switchvox and 3cx server are able to communicate through X-Lite. On another note, i wish to find out how do you configure a lync client to be able to be connected on the switchvox server as well as on a 3cx server

You may want to try setting up an extension on 3cx and then using the extension credentials to register a trunk on the switchvox side.

You might also try setting up a Bridge trunk (Master or Slave) to the other device depending on its interface capabilities.
