How to change Public IP in 3cx server settings?

    Hi,
    We are about to migrate to a different ISP and got a new public IP. Need to update 3cx phone system with new public IP.

    1. Found static IP is found in 4 places:
    -‘Settings’-> ‘Advanced’-> ‘Custom Parameters’
    i. PBXPUBLICIP
    ii. CMEXTERNALADDRESS
    iii. MSEXTERNALADDRESS)

    -‘Settings’-> ‘Phone Provisioning’ -> ‘General’
    iv. External/Public IP Address

    Should I just update the above values with new IP and restart 3cx phone server? or any other change is required?

    2. What other changes to be done in 3cx phone server regarding the new public IP change?

    using 3cx phone system version 12

    With the older versions it was pretty straight forward to change the public IP. Can't confirm that you've found them all but parsing through the custom parameters, the old IP should be easily spotted (and changed) if any remain. If you have any external sets, you will of course have to generate new provisioning files and upload.

    Before you make any changes back-up, back-up, back-up.....

    Thank you for your response. That confirms I need to change in custom parameters.

    Just wondering what are external sets?

    If you have to ask, you probably don't have any remote locations, or individuals that use any 3CX Apps.
