How to setup Share Line Appearance (SLA)

    Can anyone provide some help or guidance on how to get Shared Line Appearance - SLA working?
    We cannot seem to find SLA setup and functionality documented anywhere.

    In Settings - Advanced - Custom Parameters, I've set:
    SLA_ENABLED to 1
    SLA_ONSUBSCRIBE to 1

    What else needs to be done, and how does it work?

    SLA is not a completed feature right now. Your best bet is to use the Global Parking feature. SLA just isn't really a valid feature as you move into SIP trunks.

    Hi Kerry, thanks for the reply.

    There's some specific use cases where SLA is needed.
    For ex: boss & secretary scenario, where secretary will occasionally answer boss' line. Global parking cannot replace this functionality.

    I figured out how to get SLA working.
    set
    SLA_ENABLED to 1
    SLA_ONSUBSCRIBE to 10

    Then on the Polycom phones that will use SLA, we changed the specific line setting in the phone's web config from Private to Shared. Line icons on the handsets changed from a full lit phone to a half lit phone.
    Calls to that extension nbr can be answered from either handset, put on hold and call retrieved from the other handset. Only 1 glitch so far is that CallerID shows Unknown Caller when call has been placed on hold on one and retrieved from the other.
