I can compile a simple script from VAD and deploy to the 3cx server, however when I try to debug I get an error : The remote server returned an error 500. When I call the extension I get "The call cannot be completed at the moment" It all looks like an issue with IIS ... any ideas?

Take a look at the log file located at "%ProgramData%\3CX\Data\Logs\3CXIvrServer.log". That file should contain information about the error. Also, check the event viewer, usually when an error occurs into IIS, the error details are logged into the event viewer.
If the error is happening into a ASPX file generated by the VAD, an error file should be being created in the server. Look for files starting with "Errors_" into %ProgramData%\3CX\Data\Http\Interface\ivr\ProjectName_BuildNumber.
