Incoming call rejected, caller is unknown

    this is real simple system (so far). I have just a few phones on one 3cx pbx. No external VoIP provider.

    But when one phone tries to call another I get this error. " Incoming call rejected, caller is unknown". The device show a error of 403 which means the pbx understood the request but refused to make call (from wiki).

    I looked at the Extension status and this line is registered.

    Below is the log entry. The port address of 5062 is correct!

    Can someone give me some help, on why it is not allowing a make a call?

    If I had to guess, and I may be wrong...could it have anything to do with the IP range you are using, being Public IP's? Did you allow Direct SIP calls?

    I'm inclined to agree with Leejor where the PBX is thinking the request is coming from an external source and subsequently rejecting the call.

    If your network uses a non-standard 192.27.x.x subnet, you can tell the pbx to see this as internal by doing the following:

    -Backup your 3CX configuration using the backup and restore tool
    -go to settings->advanced->custom parameters
    --search for the parameter "LOCALSUBNETS"
    --in the field, append to the end ",192.27.0.0/16" (without the quotes) so the entire field will look like: 10.0.0.0/8,169.254.0.0/16,172.16.0.0/12,192.168.0.0/16,192.27.0.0/16
    --click on 'Apply' then 'OK' to save the change
    -Navigate to services status and restart all services (the phone system will be down for 60-90 seconds while it restarts)

    Adding the subnet did not help.

    It is only happening on one device, rest of the phones work. And this device receives calls but can not make a call to another extension. Other devices can call that extension.

    When it says "Call(C:1): Incoming call rejected, caller is unknown; msg=Ivite-IN Recv Req INVITE from 192.27.88.32:5062 tid=171928481 Call-ID=997581334@192.27.88.32:" is "caller" the extension that is placing the call or the extension that is receiving the call?

    I looked in the log file and both extensions are registered.

    In this case, extension 109 (at 192.27.88.32:5062) is dialling 101. IP 192.27.88.123 is assumed to be the 3CX server. Because the call is rejected there is no call set-up to extension 101.

    You say that other extensions using the same IP range/subnet, are working. So what is it about the settings in this set, that are different? Why did you choose to use port 5062?
