I am having an issue with the installation, i have set it up so that when it receives a call that it would be transfered to the digital receptionist, once there it would play an audio file but I can not get through the server activity log reads

    Hello,

I am trying to set up this system for my house, I have ordered a couple of spa941 phones to work with the system but the phones have not arrived, but i thought i could test the system but getting a voip provider and setting up the provider in 3cx. I figured that I could have 3cx answer the call using the digital receptionist and playing an audio file to determine that my voip provider and 3cx were communicating, I am new to pbx but from the log it looks like 3cx receives the call but can not answer it and I am not sure why. The server log provided me with 2 errors but i am unsure of how to correct them.

    Thank you for your reply

There is your issue right there.

Your system cannot validate the source of the call.

Give this article a quick read through, adjust according, and post results.

    http://www.3cx.com/blog/docs/source-identification-issues/

Perhaps you could add some screen shots of your current setup.

Do you have the VOIP provider configured for Registration or no registration.. (Many providers only want to route to an IP address and don't actually register... If that is the case you may want to go to the "Source ID" on the Edit Provider and add a match for Contact: Host Part > Variable "GWHostPort" gateway/provider host/port. That way the inbound call can be identified based on the IP of the gateway.
