I am trying to install 3CX on a Windows XP PRO sp2 machine.

However I get an error message "3CX phone system setup ended prematurely......Your system has not been modified"

I managed to create a log file, but can't see anything obvious, anyone help?

Gary.

Are you doing an install using IIS or Cassini?

If you are installing using IIS do you have the latest .net installed?

Do you have admin right on the machine?

What is showing under event viewer for applications and system?

Windows XP SP2 is slightly old, isn't it?
What is the reason to don't update it?

Thanks

I am using IIS, full admin rights to the machine and no firewall, The is no "error" in event logs although there is an information event under applications that states "installation failed" but gives no further details.

No reason not to update, it's a spare PC in the office that is not normally used, thought 3CX ran under XP SP2 so did not take the time to updgrade.

All now upgraded SP3 and all updates (excluding IE8), still getting error, can you tell anything from the log?

Gary.
