I have an Inter-tel 8622 VoIP phone, part number 550.8622.
I pressed 1 and 2 together while plugging it in and that set it to SIP mode. (5 and 6 will set it back to Inter-tel mode)
From there you can press option button (The infinity button) plus 300 to have it tell you the IP address.
It says that there is a web interface, but when I use the web browser I cannot connect to it. (not port 80?)

Pressing 7 and 8 together during power up will bring up an menu.
Press the outgoing button to move down and the transfer button to move back up.
There is a TFTP server address and it looks like this is where we need to place the config files.
Now I need to figure out what to put on the TFTP.

    Anyone else done this?

    Thanks,
    Ed Hammond

I learned that if you press 7 + 8 upon boot and reset everything back to default that you have to boot it again with 1 + 2 pressed to put it back to SIP mode.
I also learned that the "IP Devices Manual.pdf" has all the settings for the SIP mode, but the stupid global.cfg and [mac]cfg.cfg files are shown as images!
    How stupid is that!
So I had to re-type all of that. I will post mine to the bottom.
The phone loads from my TFTP, but doesn't seem to get all the settings, so I used the web browser to set the rest.

I had my 3CX setup to use a prefix of 7 to dial out and the Inter-tel wants to force the use of 8, so just changed it to 8. (or I could have made a outbound rule just for that phone)
Also, anywhere you see "444", that is the ext for the phone.
Make sure you don't comment out the proxy, I thought I could, but then things didn't work anymore!
My system uses 3 digits, so the IC dial plan is xxx, where as in the manual they assume 4 digits and list xxxx.

    Would it be...Username: IPT
    Password: iptpassw

(You really should have created a new post instead of resurrecting the old one.)
